Seminole Ridge HS Fundraiser Boosts Students’ Water Supply in Kenya

Partnerships make a difference. Teamwork leads to success.  Various Seminole Ridge Community High School  student clubs and organizations, notably the school NHS, (in Loxahatchee, FL) raised monies through a bracelet sales drive to fund two water tanks at water challenged schools in Nairobi through Kijana.  With the monies they raised and with additional funds raised from our Kijana 5K, we were able to install two solid water tanks in Dandora Girls Secondary School and Oxsic School-both of which are very close to the notorious Dandora dumpsite in Nairobi. The water tanks provide significant water security for the two schools.  Additionally, we shipped 20 boxes of books to Dandora Girls Secondary School.  The community is extremely grateful and we look forward to sharing with you their stories. We are grateful to all involved who help us continue to bridge the global economic, social, cultural and resource divide.
