Kijana develops small functional and artistic hand washing systems for schools

In conjunction with Peace Day 2017, Kijana purchased several small water containers and had small structures made to hold the portable hand washing systems. Additionally, we offered an artistic contest at Dandora Girls School in Nairobi. The art was judged by school teachers and the best designs were made into stickers to place on the tanks. The endeavor serves several functions: contributing to a healthier school community and encouraging creativity and artistic skill- both of which add to a more peaceful world.  We hope to continue with this effort and also will make efforts to expand the activity to other schools and communities.  We hope others replicate our idea as well.  Thank you to Irene Bach for her dedicated efforts in arranging the event details.
